Like many other widely recognized fine artists, Bassel Wolfe spent the
early part of his career in the field of commercial illustration, which he
entered following his graduation from Texas Tech University with a
degree in advertising art.
Born in Oklahoma, Wolfe lived next to the famous 101 Ranch and two
Indian reservations, igniting his fascination early on with things
Western. This early exposure, and living his adult life in Southwest
Texas, has furnished him with bountiful inspiration for his fine art
efforts.
Figurative images are also high on his list of favorite subjects for his
canvases.
