As a fine arts photographer and painter, I've built on a three-decades long career as an art director/graphic designer to pursue my life-long passion for photography and painting in Austin, Texas. Mexico, New Mexico and West Texas have each lent their considerable natural inspiration to my work--in my landscape and mission church oil paintings and photographs. Using a bold color palette and a graphic, impressionistic approach, I paint scenes that reflect my vision of the details I photography. As a complement to my paintings, my fine art photographs are made and color-crafted digitally, exploring details I want emphasized and finding the geometry and patterns in my pictures. I print each image with pigment-based inks, on archival paper, to ensure that my vision of its vibrant color will endure through this century. Large-format prints are made in numbered, limited-editions.
