Cowboy Artists of America Show
The Phoenix Art Museum hosts one of the most anticipated western art shows of the year
PHOENIX
• Many of the best western artists in the land wrangle up their latest works for the 43rd annual Cowboy Artists of America Sale & Exhibition, which opens at the Phoenix Art Museum October 17-18. The show features more than 130 new paintings and sculptures created during the past year by the 23 active members of the Cowboy Artists of America, including newly inducted member Tim Cox of New Mexico. This is the only time that the members of CAA exhibit their work together, with most of the pieces being unveiled for the first time on the night of the sale.

The fixed-price sale—with buyers determined by the drawing of intent-to-purchase slips—takes place on Fri-day, October 17, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The weekend culminates at the gala awards banquet on Saturday, when the 10 prize-winning pieces are announced. Both the sale and the banquet are ticketed events. The exhibit is open to the public from October 18 to November 16. For more information: 602.819.0390 or www.caashow.org.
